Notice of Planning Board Public Hearing on Proposed Zoning Amendment

The Town of Cheshire Planning Board will hold a public hearing pursuant to G.L. c 40A, s. 5 on April 22 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Cheshire Community Center, Cheshire , MA 01225.  The purpose of the public hearing is to provide interested parties with an opportunity to comment on proposed changes to the Cheshire Protective and Planning Zoning Bylaws.  The proposed amendments include:

1:  To see if the town will vote to adopt a proposed zoning amendment to the Town of Cheshire Protective and Planning Zoning Bylaw for the purpose of creating a light industrial district.  This new light industrial district would be used for the manufacturer or assembly of a product including processing, blending, fabrication, assembly, treatment and packaging and qualifies the Town of Cheshire to enter the Green Communities program, while being sensitive to adjacent properties. 

2:  To see if the town will vote to adopt proposed zoning amendments to the Town of Cheshire Protective and Planning Zoning Bylaw for the purpose of allowing certain accessory agricultural uses. The purpose of this article is to allow certain accessory agricultural uses to provide additional economic opportunities for farmers.
