COUNCIL ON AGING
Services provided by COA: Brown Bag pick up at the Senior Center in Cheshire no longer requires a donation. Pick up time is from 1-2:30 pm and is on the last Friday of the month, unless it’s a holiday it will change. Exercise is on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9 am to 10 am. Sewing is the first and third Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. Quilting is also the first and third Thursdays of each month at 1 pm. Bingo is the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 2 pm. Molari will be here on the fourth Wednesday of every month for free blood pressure readings. The next Foot Clinic will be held March 16th feel free to call the center for an appointment. COA meets for a meeting every third Wednesday of the month at 1 pm.
CHESHIRE COUNCIL ON AGING VAN
The van is available by appointment on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 to 4 p.m. You can call (413) 446-2559 to schedule an appointment.
Senior Center has a meeting every Wednesday at 12:30 pm and welcome any new members. We also plan a lunch out at a restaurant once a month every Thursday. We also plan special events and participate in current town activities. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday the center has lunch at 11:30 am to 1 pm. The cost is $2.00. If you are interested in attending one of our lunches, please call 743-9719 ask for Michelle. We need 48 hrs. in advance to schedule your attendance. If you are unable to attend already scheduled lunch please call Elder Services at 1-800-981-5201 before 7:30 am the morning of or if after hours when the center is closed. Barry Emery’s Book the History of Cheshire is available from Pam and Ed St.John for $16.00. You can call his office at 413-743-0990 or stop by Reynolds store to purchase a copy. Also a gentleman has called the center and has written a book based on a true story called “A Senior Love Story” . The Author is Richard Corey. The book is based on his life story and how Seniors can rise above any situation. The book is available on amazon.com and hopefully I will be able to get a copy for the center.
Elder Services of Berkshire County offers in home and community services, housing options, and information access with the goal of helping seniors live with dependency. Kerry Lahey is the Centers Outreach Coordinator. Feel free to call her at the center will any question or concerns you may have with a elderly loved one.

St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 259 Church St., Cheshire MA. (413)743-2110. Mass is held daily call the rectory for the times. Saturday Mass is held at 4 pm. And Sunday Mass is at 8:45 am.
